Dr. Lanier’s passion for optometry began with her own experiences as a patient, shaping her commitment to making a real difference in the lives of those she serves. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL, earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a minor in American Sign Language (ASL) and Deaf Studies. She then pursued her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, where she gained expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of ocular diseases and vision conditions.
Dr. Lanier is Board Certified and is currently pursuing a Fellowship from the American Academy of Optometry (AAO) with a focus on binocular vision dysfunction and vision rehabilitation. She is particularly skilled in treating conditions such as dry eye, astigmatism, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and keratoconus, among many others. Her clinical interests also include scleral contact lenses, amniotic membrane therapy, prism correction for double vision, and punctal plugs for dry eye management.
Fluent in both English and American Sign Language (ASL), Dr. Lanier is dedicated to making eye care accessible and inclusive for all patients, including those in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.
Outside the office, Dr. Lanier enjoys reading, exploring the outdoors, and spending quality time with her husband. She is passionate about lifelong learning and staying at the forefront of advancements in optometry to provide the best possible care for her patients.
