Clear Sight Partners Adds Leading Glaucoma Surgeon to Ophthalmological Medical Team

A West Central Florida vision care organization recruits board certified ophthalmologist with fellowship training in glaucoma

Tampa, Florida (March 31, 2021) – Clear Sight Partners (CSP), a Spanos Barber Jesse (“SBJ”) company, announces the addition of a board certified glaucoma specialist to their ophthalmological medical team in Pinellas County. Vinita Srivastava, MD is recognized as a leading expert in the research, diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma – a disease that impacts over two million Americans and can lead to blindness.

Dr. Srivastava will perform the latest surgical techniques, including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), which includes the iStent Inject and Xen Gel. “Glaucoma is a serious disease that can lead to the loss of peripheral vision, which can never be regained,” states John Wachter, O.D., director of clinical operations at CSP. “Early diagnosis and treatment by a glaucoma expert is critical to protect vision, and the advanced surgery that Dr. Srivastava performs will actually save vision for many of our patients.”

In addition to glaucoma surgery, Dr. Srivastava performs cataract surgery with premium intraocular lenses, which also improves quality of vision for patients.

“Our first concern is for our patients,” says Brian Hauser, chief executive officer at CSP. “We want to provide an environment where patients can come to receive all of their eye care needs, ranging from a routine eye exam to medical treatment and surgery if required. The addition of Dr. Srivastava to the medical team as our first glaucoma specialist allows us to get one step closer to that vision of providing the best comprehensive vision care in the region.”

Today, CSP operate 16 clinics and treats more than 100,000 patients in the West Central Florida area by providing a broad range of eye care services, including ophthalmology, optometry, optical procedures and related surgeries for cataracts, retina diseases, glaucoma and cosmetics.
