Vincent Ferlita, OD, provides comprehensive eye care for patients in the Port Richey area, including routine eye exams, prescribing eyeglasses, contact lens fittings, and the treatment and management of medical eye conditions. He is passionate about improving his patients’ vision and quality of life through compassionate, personalized care.
Dr. Ferlita earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry, where he was a member of the Contact Lens Club and the National Optometric Student Association (NOSA). During his externships, he gained extensive clinical experience in ocular disease and primary eye care at the Salt Lake City VA Medical Center, Eye Specialists of Ohio, and Vision Professionals.
Before returning home to Florida, Dr. Ferlita completed a residency and later served as a clinical optometrist at Eye Specialists of Ohio, where he specialized in diagnosing and managing diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, corneal disease, and macular degeneration, as well as providing post-operative care for cataract and refractive surgery patients.
Since 2019, Dr. Ferlita has been providing comprehensive eye exams to patients in New Port Richey and Spring Hill, including fittings for toric, multifocal, and scleral contact lenses, and treating conditions such as dry eye, red eyes, and corneal foreign bodies. He takes pride in building strong relationships with patients and collaborating closely with ophthalmologists to ensure the best possible outcomes.
A Tampa native, Dr. Ferlita enjoys being back in his home state close to family. In his free time, he loves playing and watching sports, spending time outdoors, and relaxing with his wife and their dog, Wilbur.
