Dr. Patel completed his undergraduate studies at Boston University, achieving the highest honors in the study of Economics and Biochemistry/Molecular Biology. Continuing at BU School of Medicine, he completed his medical studies with the distinction of cum laude and Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honors Society membership. This was followed by a comprehensive year of training in Internal Medicine at the Yale University School of Medicine. His General Ophthalmology training was completed at the world-renowned Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital/New York University School of Medicine. He completed his fellowship training in the surgical and medical diseases of the Retina and Vitreous at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Patel participated in various multicenter investigational trials evaluating the role of latest groundbreaking treatments for Diabetic Retinopathy, Macular Degeneration, and Uveitis.
