Dr. Friedman and has been serving patients in Central Florida for over 20 years. He is fellowship trained in Retina and Vitreous and is board certified in Ophthalmology. Dr. Friedman provides state-of-the-art care with compassion for his patients. Dr. Friedman received his Bachelor of Arts with Honors and his Medical Degree with Honors from the University of Missouri, Columbia. Dr. Friedman continued his training at the University of Missouri, Columbia where he completed his residency in Ophthalmology. He concluded his Retina & Vitreous Fellowship at the Northwestern University Medical School. Dr. Friedman is a former Assistant Professor and head of Retina Division/Ophthalmology Department at the University of Florida-Gainesville and Shands Hospital. He is also a current Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Friedman lives in Lakeland, Florida. He has completed several marathons, including Boston and enjoys all sports, musical theater and traveling.
