Maria Morrow, OD, is a dedicated optometrist providing comprehensive eye care to patients throughout the Tampa Bay area. With a clinical focus on ocular disease assessment and prevention, Dr. Morrow is known for being compassionate and thorough, making sure every patient truly understands their eye health, and for offering care in both English and Spanish.
Dr. Morrow earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, where she also completed a Bachelor of Science in Vision Science. She holds a second undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science in Biology, from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Following her graduation, she completed an externship at the renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, where she examined patients across retina, cornea, neuro-ophthalmology, ocular oncology, oculoplastics, and pediatric clinics. This training gave her broad exposure to the medical management of complex ocular conditions, and she is NBEO certified.
Throughout her career, Dr. Morrow has built experience conducting both routine and medical eye examinations, prescribing glasses and contact lenses, and diagnosing a wide range of ocular conditions. Her practice spans everything from everyday vision correction to the management of diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, dry eye, and keratoconus. She works closely with patients to craft individualized treatment plans, drawing on the collaborative approach to patient care she developed during her training alongside ophthalmologists and optometrists at Bascom Palmer.
Dr. Morrow loves building relationships with her patients and takes pride in helping people see the best that they can. She brings genuine warmth and patience to every exam, ensuring each patient leaves with a clear understanding of their diagnosis and treatment options.
Outside the office, Dr. Morrow enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time at home with their four cats.
