Kimberly Jun MD

Kimberly Jun, MD, is a glaucoma and cataract specialist dedicated to providing thoughtful, individualized medical and surgical eye care. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma and cataracts, with a focus on helping patients preserve their vision and achieve the best possible outcomes.

Dr. Jun believes exceptional care begins with understanding each patient’s individual needs and goals. She takes the time to thoroughly explain diagnoses and treatment options in a way that is easy to understand, helping patients feel informed and confident in their care. She especially values building strong relationships with her patients and making sure they feel heard and supported throughout their treatment.

Dr. Jun has advanced training in both traditional and minimally invasive approaches to glaucoma treatment, including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), laser procedures, glaucoma drainage implants, trabeculectomy, and other surgical and medical treatments. She also performs cataract surgery and enjoys the opportunity it provides to improve both vision and quality of life. For patients with glaucoma, she emphasizes early detection and proactive treatment to help protect and maintain vision for years to come.

Dr. Jun earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences and Psychology from the University of Southern California before receiving her medical degree from the University of South Florida. She remained at USF for her internal medicine internship and ophthalmology residency before completing advanced fellowship training in glaucoma at New York Eye & Ear Infirmary in New York City.

In addition to her clinical training, Dr. Jun has contributed to ophthalmic research, publications, and presentations covering glaucoma, retinal disease, corneal conditions, and ophthalmic imaging. Her work includes a book chapter on glaucoma drainage implants and published research in peer-reviewed medical journals.

Outside of the office, Dr. Jun enjoys strength training, exploring new restaurants, spending time on the water, sailing, and traveling
