Pasadena Eye Center, is proud to welcome Dr. Mikaila Gallagher to its team of dedicated eye care professionals. Dr. Gallagher is a skilled optometrist with advanced training in ocular disease, comprehensive eye exams, contact lenses and dry eye management.
A graduate of Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry, Dr. Gallagher completed her residency in Tampa, Florida, where she focused on primary eye care, ocular disease, cornea and contact lens management, and co-management of cataract and refractive surgery. During her residency, she gained advanced clinical experience in managing complex eye conditions, including keratoconus and dry eye disease. She specializes in using scleral lenses to provide life-changing vision improvements for patients with corneal conditions.
Dr. Gallagher also brings extensive clinical training from rotations at the VA hospital in Wilmington, DE, Draisin Vision in Charleston, SC, and The Eye Care Institute in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Her approach to care is compassionate and patient-focused, with an emphasis on tailoring treatments to meet each patient’s unique needs.

Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dr. Gallagher enjoys spending time at the beach, relaxing with her dog, and visiting family in her hometown. She is now accepting new patients at Pasadena Eye Center in St. Petersburg.
